29th Anniversary of Incorporation
This month the City proudly celebrates its 29th birthday, commemorating our April 18, 1989 incorporation. As we take this time to celebrate the Spirit of Diamond Bar, let’s keep in mind all we have to be grateful for. We value our family-friendly atmosphere; the well-maintained parks, trails and roads; top-rated school districts; and public safety services which contribute to keeping the City among the safest communities in the region.
In what has become an annual tradition, the anniversary will once again bring the community together on Saturday, April 14th for a fun-filled, family-friendly celebration. I invite you to attend the 29th City Birthday Party that takes place at Pantera Park from 11am – 5 pm, and features a variety of carnival rides, games and inflatables, entertainment, food and information booths, and a business showcase. Event admission is free; however, there are nominal fees for rides, games and activities. Free shuttle service to Pantera Park will be available from surrounding neighborhood streets.
The City will also be holding its annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21st from 9am-2pm. Located in the AQMD Parking lot—21865 Copley Drive, this event features several family-friendly activities, displays and demonstrations aimed at raising environmental awareness and promoting sustainable living. Residents can take advantage of free document/paper shredding services, safely dispose of e-waste, and participate in the free mulch giveaway and smart gardening workshop.
