Spooky Fun Happens at the Halloween Party!
Fun Halloween- and fall-themed festivities will take center stage at Pantera Park when the City’s annual Halloween Party takes place on Saturday, October 28.
From 9 a.m. to noon, the event will feature fun games and activities for children ages 2-8 and well-behaved dogs (on leash), photo-taking areas, and a costume contest for both people and pets. Additionally, trick-or-treating will be available at the dozens of vendor stations featuring pet-related products and services.
Halloween costumes are encouraged but not required. Pantera Park is located at 738 Pantera Drive. Event activities will take place near the dog park and basketball courts.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest
New this year, the event will include a pumpkin decorating contest for all ages. To participate, bring your decorated or carved pumpkin(s), along with a completed entry form, to the event between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
Pumpkins that are carved, cut or hollowed out will be judged separately from pumpkins that are only decorated (uncut). Pumpkins in either category (best carved or best decorated) may be painted or have materials glued or attached to them. Pumpkins must be real; artificial pumpkins will not be accepted.
All pumpkins entered into the contest will be displayed until the winners are announced and prizes awarded later in the event.
