Wednesday Walkers/Day Camp Mashup!
July is National Parks and Recreation Month, recognizing that parks and recreation build stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities. In celebration, two of the Parks and Recreation Department’s most popular programs joined forces to host a fun-filled morning of games, ice cream, and prizes! It was also an opportunity for generations to come together, with the participation from the Day Camp children and the older adults of Wednesday Walkers. Festivities took place at Heritage Park, complete with an obstacle course including a water balloon toss, hula hoops, bean bag toss and other team activities. Optum also came out in support, providing ice cream for all the participants, and Frisbees and Pop-its for the campers. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to participate in one of the many Parks and Recreation activities available to you this Summer.
