Healthy Diamond Bar

Healthy Diamond Bar Event at Sycamore Canyon Park

This past week the Wednesday Walkers and Healthy Diamond Bar teamed up for a fun activity at Sycamore Canyon Park. The lively bunch spent the morning walking the perimeter of the park to music, playing games and socializing! The group was joined by Mayor Andrew Chou as part of his “Meet the Mayor” events. Spots Still Available in the Youth Indoor Soccer Program

This 8-week program is designed to teach the skills and fundamentals of soccer to children ages 3-8 in a fun, safe, and recreational environment. Practices and games are played at Mt. Calvary Lutheran School on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., from April 1 through May 20. Registration is open for the following age divisions: 3–4, 5-6, and 7-8.

Indoor and Outdoor Park Rentals

Did you know that Heritage Park Community Center and the Pantera Park Activity Room are available to rent for your next party or gathering? Heritage can accommodate up to 100 guests. The location is perfectly for a family birthday party with direct access to the playground and open park areas. It is also suitable for more intimate events like an anniversary, a group dinner or cocktail party. Pantera may seat up to 50 guests, also with direct access to the playground area, no alcohol permitted. Need assistance or have questions? Contact an experienced staff member to assistance via email or in-person by appointment at the Diamond Bar Center. All appointments can be online at www.diamondbarca.gov/appointment or by calling the Center at (909) 839-7065.

Teen Group Spends Morning Cleaning Park

On February 18, DB 4Youth members organized and participated in a park and trail clean up at Sycamore Canyon Park. The group started at the upper part of the park and made their way to the bottom of the stairs leading to Diamond Bar Blvd. during their two-hour hike. Members reported picking up over 10 bags worth of trash and non-natural debris. For more information about DB 4Youth visit: www.diamondbarca.gov/db4youth

Celebrate All Things Irish at the St. Patrick's Senior Dance

Dance the night away at the festive annual St. Patrick’s Dance at the Diamond Bar Center on Wednesday, March 15. Come join us to celebrate this festive holiday. The evening consists of music, dancing, dinner and raffle prizes. Cost per person is $15 and $20 for non-residents with ticket sales ending at noon on Friday, March 10.  Click here to register online.
