SoCal Gas Maintenance ProjectAn encroachment permit was issued to SoCal Gas for the replacement of the residential gas service mainline along Deerfoot Drive, from Sunbluff Drive to Kiowa Crest Drive, and on Kiowa Crest Drive, from Eldertree Drive to Santaquin Drive. The photo depicts the contractors actively potholing to locate underground utilities, in preparation for the high-pressure gas mainline replacement.

Southern California Edison Utility Pole ReplacementAn encroachment permit was issued to Henkels & McCoy Inc., subcontractor for Southern California Edison, for the removal and replacement of an SCE utility pole in the rear yard of a residential property on Lasso Drive. The pole replacement took place on Wednesday, January 11 and was an all-day operation. The photo depicts the contractors utilizing a crane to access the rear-yard utility pole for replacement.

Diamond Bar Center Slope Stabilization UpdateThe contractor has completed 75 percent of the project scope of work as of January 12, 2023. The completed items include, pouring 27 cast-in-place drilled piers with reinforced concreted caissons, buried concrete reinforced grade beams, concrete V-ditch, rough grading, concrete flatwork, including ADA ramp. Landscaping improvements and final grading are to be completed by next month. The project is ahead of schedule, initially planned to be completed by March 2023.

Grand Avenue and Golden Springs Drive Intersection Improvement Project UpdateConcrete walls and invert pour is currently underway for the west tunnel. The west side tunnel is anticipated to be completed by next month, followed by construction of the east side tunnel. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed by June 2023.

Always a Good Time to Learn Something New!The City offers a number of free and fee-based programs for older adults through the Parks & Recreation Department. The “Free Senior Seminars & Socials” series helps older adults to become lifelong learners by educating them on a variety of health and consumer topics through in-person seminars and resourceful interactive programs. Additionally, day excursions and monthly dances add to healthy and fun social interactions with fellow members of the community. Explore Senior programs ONLINE or in-person at the Diamond Bar Center. Host Your Next Event Close to Home - Diamond Bar Center Available for Private RentalsThe Diamond Bar Center is available for private rentals, including weddings, meetings, corporate events and more! Reservations may be made by Diamond Bar residents up to 24 months in advance. Non-residents may book up to 20 months in advance. Did you know? - The location is perfect for the D.I.Y. bride! Take the clean blank slate and theme it to the event of your dreams. Renters may utilize the vendors of their own choosing.
- Decorations are limited to free standing items, so long as they are not taped, nailed, stapled or otherwise adhered to venue walls or equipment your choices are endless.
