Office ClosuresCity offices will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023 in observance of the New Year holiday. Offices reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3.

City Commission Appointment OpportunitiesTo be considered for appointment, individuals must apply online no later than 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 by visiting www.diamondbarca.gov/jobs.
Applications are currently being accepted to fill one seat on each of the City’s three commissions – Planning, Parks and Recreation, and Traffic and Transportation.
Commissions act in an advisory capacity to the City Council. The Planning Commission advises on planning and land use matters, the Parks and Recreation Commission advises on matters pertaining to recreational facilities and programming, and the Traffic and Transportation Commission advises on traffic flow and transportation system matters. Diamond Bar residents interested in being considered for one of these commissions are encouraged to apply. Appointments will be made by the City Council, and commissioners will be appointed to complete the remaining term through January 2024. |
SoCal Gas Maintenance ProjectAn encroachment permit was issued to SoCal Gas to replace the residential gas service mainline along Deerfoot Drive, from Sunbluff Drive to Kiowa Crest Drive, and on Kiowa Crest Drive, from Eldertree Drive to Santaquin Drive. Construction activity will start the week of January 2 and is anticipated for completion in early-April 2023. The contractors have already issued door notices to the affected neighborhood and will also notify residents about any planned gas service interruptions.

Kinder Skills to start Winter Session 1Get ready to go ‘Into the Arctic!’ Youth participants are getting ready to explore the wonders of the arctic and arctic life while learning kindergarten readiness skills such as using a pencil, learning letters, counting numbers, and recognizing colors and shapes. The upcoming session is set to start on Monday, January 9 and conclude on Friday, February 17. The stimulating program is designed for three-, four-, and five-year-old children to socially and academically succeed in kindergarten. The Diamond Bar Center is available for private rentals, including weddings, meetings, corporate events, and more!Diamond Bar residents may make reservations up to 24 months in advance and non-residents may book up to 20 months in advance.
Did you know? The max capacity of the Grand View Ballroom is 438 for dining. The room is capable of hosting large weddings or small. The minimum rental on a weekend is 2/3 of the ballroom.
The max capacity of the Grand View Ballroom is 822 for theater seating. The hall makes for a great location for business seminars and corporate activities as well with the various capacity levels and the ballroom’s ability to divide into breakout rooms.
