Karate Classes for All AgesA new session of Kajukenbo Karate begins August 9 at the Diamond Bar Center. Learn self-defense techniques of Kajukenbo Hawaiian Mixed Martial Arts that combines Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Kenpo and Kung Fu, while improving your physical fitness and building self-confidence. Senior Dance: Western BBQGiddy-up for the next senior dance hosted at the Diamond Bar Center on August 18. The theme is a Western BBQ so don’t forget to pack your boots and hats for a good ole time! A live duo is set to perform live music to boot scoot all night long. Dance includes entertainment, bbq dinner, and raffle prizes! Let's Work Together to Shape Diamond Bar's Future! Town Center Specific Plan Charrette August 22 - 26 at City Hall-Windmill RoomCommunity members are invited to share their ideas and help shape the creation of Diamond Bar’s first Town Center Specific Plan during a four-and-a-half-day charrette planned for August 22-26 at Diamond Bar City Hall.
This charrette is a participatory design process aimed at giving the community an opportunity to engage directly with the design team, provide feedback, and even put pencil to paper to draw their ideas for how the future town center should be designed.

New Business Coming to TownCrumbl Cookies recently submitted tenant improvement plans to occupy the former T-Mobile space next to Jimmy John’s at 22438 Golden Springs. It is anticipated that the new shop will be open for business in the fall.

Streets Rehabilitation ProjectWork continues in Residential & Collector Streets Rehabilitation Project (Area 1). All cross gutters, ADA curb ramps and crack sealing in the residential areas have been completed. All final asphalt patching is scheduled for this week within the residential area in anticipation of the chip seal and slurry seal, which is scheduled for next week. Grand Avenue / Golden Springs Drive Intersection Improvement ProjectInstallation of the decorative crosswalk pavers at the east, west, and north crossings were completed during this past week's authorized night time work hours. The south crosswalk pavers and concrete will be completed the next couple of weeks.
