City’s COVID-19 Protocol UpdateIn light of the recent significant surge in COVID-19 cases, the City is implementing the following temporary adjustments to its operations and facility access to mitigate the spread of this highly contagious virus.
Both City Hall and the Diamond Bar Center will remain open for business, and City staff will continue to be available by phone, email, and/or video conferencing during regular operating hours.
Limited Facility Access for In-person Services - Diamond Bar City Hall – In-person services will be available only between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday, and appointments will be required.
- Diamond Bar Center – Access into the facility will be limited to only those who have an appointment, are registered for a recreation class or activity, or are renting the facility for a private event.
Most City services are available by phone or video conferencing. These services include business licenses, construction permits, picnic rentals and facility tours. To learn more and book your next appointment, visit www.diamondbarca.gov/appointment.

Diamond Bar Center Available for Private Event RentalsThe Diamond Bar Center is open for private event rentals and adheres to Los Angeles County Health Department COVID-19 guidelines. Currently, events of less than 500 guests are permitted to gather indoors while wearing masks. While all Saturdays are booked through 2022, there are plenty of Fridays, Sundays, and weekdays available. Reservations are also available through 2023 and 2024 and residents may book up to 24 months in advance. Senior Valentine’s Day DanceLove and friendship are in the air at the Diamond Bar Center on Thursday, February 10 from 6-9 p.m. Come with a partner, group of friends, or fly solo like cupid to this fun-filled evening of music, dancing, dinner and raffle prizes. Space is limited to allow for appropriate distancing, so early reservations are encouraged. Ticket sales end at noon on Friday, February 4. Click here to register.

Sport Ball Multi Sport Starts SundayOn Sunday, January 9, SPORTBALL conducted a free trial for its 8 multi-sport class at Ronald Reagan Park. The preview provided parents and students an opportunity to learn more about the program prior to signing up! New 8-week session starts January 16 for children ages 16 months to 7 years old. Cost is $140 for residents and $145 for non-residents. Click HERE to register.

July 2021 - December 2021 Encroachment Plan Check and Permit RevenuesThe Public Works Department - Engineering issued 57 encroachment permits, 7 dumpster permits, and 14 transportation permits and received $89,525.19 in plan check and inspection fees between July and December 2021. Encroachment projects typically consist of emergency repairs and other planned improvement projects by local utility companies that are thoroughly reviewed and managed by Public Works staff.
