In light of the recent significant surge in COVID-19 cases, starting Monday, January 10 and until at least Friday, January 21, the City is implementing temporary adjustments to its operations and facility access to mitigate the spread of this highly contagious virus.
Both City Hall and the Diamond Bar Center will remain open for business, and City staff will continue to be available by phone, email, and/or video conferencing during regular operating hours.
By limiting access to City facilities, staff will be able to manage the number of individuals inside any facility at any one time to allow for proper physical distancing, and cleaning and disinfecting between visitors.
Limited Access to City Facilities/Appointments Available
Diamond Bar City Hall – In-person services will be available only between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday, and appointments will be required.
Diamond Bar Center – Access into the facility will be limited to only those who have an appointment, are registered for a recreation class or activity, or are renting the facility for a private event.
Most City services are available by phone or video conferencing. These services include business licenses, construction permits, picnic rentals and facility tours. To learn more and book your next appointment, visit www.diamondbarca.gov/appointment.
Upcoming City Meetings Canceled/Shifting to Virtual-Only Mode
The regularly scheduled Planning Commission and Traffic and Transportation Commission meetings of January 11 and January 13, respectively, are canceled. The January 18 City Council meeting will take place via teleconference only with everyone participating remotely by calling into the meeting. Details on how to register and participate remotely is available on the first page of every meeting agenda. Learn more and view archived City meetings at www.diamondbarca.gov/agendas.
As a reminder, anyone visiting a City facility is required to wear a well-fitting face mask, regardless of vaccination status. Additional information regarding the City’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency is available at www.diamondbarca.gov/covid19.
