Grand Avenue / Golden Springs Drive Intersection Improvement Project

A few utility cuts within the roadway in the project area were weathered by the recent heavy rain storms, exposing potholes during the weekend of December 26. The city completed traffic control and emergency patch-up on the same day. Public Works staff is working with the project contractor to find a solution to prevent this from happening again.

Emergency Repairs for Inoperative Traffic Signal Equipment

The signalized intersections of Diamond Bar Boulevard at Cold Spring Lane and Golden Springs Drive at Sunset Crossing Road were briefly out of service on December 24 and 25 respectively due to a severe storm event, prompting immediate response from Public Works personnel.

Anytime equipment fails or there is a loss of power, the traffic signals should transition into a red-flash mode until the necessary repairs are made. In both instances, the traffic signals were fixed and returned to normal operations within a few hours after being reported.

The public is encouraged to contact Public Works at (909) 839-7040 or the Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station at (626) 913-1715 to report any red-flashing or other faulty traffic signals throughout the city.
