City Launches New Reporting ToolThere is a new online platform to report non-emergency issues or place requests for service to the City. SeeClickFix, as the web-based reporting platform is called, can be used to report a variety of community concerns including potholes, downed trees, graffiti, illegal dumping, and trail or park issues. The platform can be accessed using any internet-connected mobile device, and placing a service request is as simple as identifying the location, providing a brief description of the issue, and uploading a photo if available. Creating an account is not necessary to make a report. However, by setting one up, you will be able to receive updates on the status of you requests and City staff will be able to follow up, if needed. Learn more and start using SeeClickFix by visiting www.diamondbarca.gov/report.

Emergency Repairs for Illuminated Street Name SignsWednesday’s rain storm and accompanying heavy gusts of wind caused some of the illuminated street name signs to disconnect from the signal mast arms at three locations in town. Public Works and Sheriff’s personnel immediately responded to each location to secure the site and provide traffic control until the City’s traffic signal maintenance technician repaired each damaged sign.

State Route 57 Slope ErosionThis week's heavy rain event also resulted in the failure of a temporary berm within the Caltrans right-of-way, causing sediment to flow down the northbound SR57 off-ramps and onto Diamond Bar Boulevard. This berm was constructed as part of the 57 Freeway repaving project. Public Works staff secured the area until Caltrans and the project contractor cleared the sediment and installed additional erosion control measures. City staff will be monitoring this site as the rainy season continues.
