City Photo Contest Now Accepting Entries

After a one-year hiatus, the City’s popular Through My Lens Photo Contest is back for its 13th year! This is your chance to share one or two of your favorite photographs depicting candid moments with family or pets or showcasing wildlife, landscapes or other nature aspects within Diamond Bar.

Entries are currently being accepted and must be received by August 31.

First held in 2008, Through My Lens is co-sponsored by the Diamond Bar Community Foundation, and open to Diamond Bar residents of all ages and skill levels. It is aimed at celebrating the places and things that make Diamond Bar a great place to live and the talented photographers who capture them so skillfully.

Participation is free and open to Diamond Bar residents of all ages. There are two divisions – youth (age 17 and younger) and adult (age 18 and older) and ?ve categories – people, pets, places, nature and digitally-altered. Each photographer may enter a maximum of two photos.

Entries, which must be high-resolution digital photos, can be entered online at www.diamondbarca.gov/photocontest, emailed to photocontest@diamondbarca.gov or mailed on a CD or DVD to Diamond Bar City Hall, Attn: Public Information Division – Photo Contest, 21810 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765.

Winners will be chosen before the end of the year, with certi?cates of recognition and cash prizes awarded to ?rst (winner) and second place (honorable mention) images in each category. Also, an overall grand-prize winner will be chosen from the ?ve category winners.
