The City’s popular Concerts in the Park series is set to return this year, July 7 through August 4, at a new location - Summitridge Park located at 1425 Summitridge Drive, adjacent to the Diamond Bar Center located at 1600 Grand Avenue.
The lineup features Bumptown (disco, old school and Latin) on July 7, Cold Duck (R&B variety) on July 14, 80s All-Stars (’80s hits) on July 21, Upstream (Caribbean music) on July 28, and Stone Soul (Motown tribute band) on August 4. All performances start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m., with the parking lot opening at 5 p.m.
Concessions will not be sold onsite, and grills and cooking devices are not permitted. However, individuals are welcome to bring food, snacks and beverages, as well as a blanket or low-backed chair for a more enjoyable concert-watching experience.
Also, service animals specifically trained to assist their handlers with tasks or activities directly related to his or her disability are permitted, but pets are not allowed.
Parking is available in the upper parking lot adjacent to the Diamond Bar Center or along Summitridge Drive. A loading and unloading zone will be available for individuals with a disability placard or license plate.
Update to previous information - As a result new regulations announced by County Health officials that will go into effect June 15, attendance requirements previously listed in the City's newsletter, website and social media pages will NO longer be required to attend concerts, including pre-registration, designated seating, physical distancing, and health screenings. Attendees will be required to wear face coverings.
