Celebrate Earth Day with Discovery Science Center

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to honor the creatures who move the earth under us and are the caretakers of all things that grow in the earth? Come and discover the amazing capabilities of Earths favorite decomposers: worms! Learn the ins and outs of composting and what you can do to help reduce your waste that heads to the landfill. Also, test your skills at the World of Organic Waste game and see if you can create the perfect compost mix.

• Open to all ages.
• Only one registration is required per household.
• A link will be shared in advance of the event.
• The Zoom platform will be used for this event.

Free Paper Shredding Events

Need to get rid of your old, unwanted and confidential papers? Clean out your filing cabinets, drawers and closets, and bring them to our FREE shredding event. This is drive through, contactless event. Due to COVID-19, we ask that all participants stay in their vehicles for everyone’s safety. 

• Participants may bring up to 2 banker boxes of paper for shredding, No binders.
• Please stay in the vehicle and ensure everyone in the vehicle is wearing a face mask. 
• Documents must be placed in your trunk and will be contactless.
• All shredding occurs on-site.
• Remove binders, rubber bands, plastic page protectors, plastic bags, plastic file tabs, CDs and other hard items. Staples, paper clips, and fasteners do not need to be removed.
