Temporary Changes to Waste Management Services

Until further notice, Waste Management implemented a temporary service change to prioritize staffing for trash pickup due to COVID-19 impacts. As a reminder, the remaining collection for January will be as follows:

Week of Jan. 25: Trash and recycling collection only. Please remember to place all extra recycling in a bag next to your cart.
As a courtesy, Christmas trees will be picked up through the week ending Jan.22.

County's Drive-Through HHW Collections Canceled

Given the current and anticipated surges of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths, Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste (HHW/E-Waste) collection events hosted by Los Angeles County will be temporarily suspended, beginning Jan. 16. The suspension is in support of Public Health orders and frontline workers, and to encourage residents to remain home as much as possible.

HHW/E-Waste should be stored in a secure container/box in a cool, dry environment away from children and pets. For updates, visit the LA County, Department of Public Works website at https://dpw.lacounty.gov/epd/hhw/.

Free Sustainable Gardening Workshop

Through Walnut Valley Water District's remote learning center (RLC), registered customers will have access to online workshop for up to 30 days beginning on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Simply register for the event of your choice and provide the requested information. A representative will provide you with a unique class login to access the recording and workshop materials.

The next drought-tolerant plants workshop is scheduled for January 23, 2021 and will cover:

plant selection
soil preparation
planting, amending and maintaining
