The November 3, 2020 General Municipal Election has resulted in several vacancies on the three Diamond Bar City Commissions.
The Parks and Recreation Commission has two open seats while the Planning and Traffic and Transportation commissions each have one open seat.
City Commissioners are appointed by the City Council and serve in an advisory capacity to assist with policy recommendations in their respective areas.
Parks and Recreation Commissioners advise City Council on topics pertaining to recreational facilities and programs, while Planning Commissioners are responsible for planning and land use matters, and Traffic and Transportation Commissioners make recommendations regarding the city’s transportation network.
Individuals interested in being considered for appointment must be a Diamond Bar resident at least 18 years of age and registered to vote.
