Diamond Bar restaurants that are experiencing economic hardship caused by COVID-19 are strongly encouraged to apply to the County of Los Angeles Keep LA County Dining grant program.
The program has $30,000 grants to give to 2,500 Los Angeles County restaurants that meet certain qualifications.
The application period opens at exactly midnight on December 3 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on December 6, however, only the first 2,500 applications will be accepted. Early application is strongly recommended.
To qualify for the funds, restaurants must be located in the County of Los Angeles, and they MUST:- have fewer than 25 employees
- have a fixed brick and mortar location (operate from a permanent physical location with a full-service kitchen)
- have a current heath inspection grade of "C" or better
- have been established and operating no later than March 4, 2020.
Furthermore, eligible businesses MUST NOT have already received assistance from other L.A. County CARES Act programs, and they:- must not be a corporate-owned franchise
- must not have more than five business locations
Grants may be used for employee payroll, operational expenses, and equipment or building modifications to remain open while meeting COVID-19 safety protocols.
