The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is preparing to launch a new geographic information system (GIS)-based dashboard that displays the current status on indicators used to assess progress on slowing the spread of COVID-19 within the county.
This COVID-19 Recovery Dashboard, which is anticipated to be available today on the Public Health website, will allow the public to view in real time the data the County is using to determine when it is sensible to relax additional restrictions to open more businesses throughout the county.
In addition to this dashboard, there are other COVID-19 related maps and digital tools on the Public Health website that provide the public with information on such things as virus case counts, drive-up mobile testing sites, emergency proclamations, and details about openings and closures for parks, recreation sites, and schools.
As a reminder, Los Angeles County is currently in stage two of its five-stage Roadmap to Recovery. In this stage, some business retailers, retail suppliers, and florists are able to open for curbside, door-side or delivery service only. Also able to open are car dealership showrooms with appropriate physical distancing and infection control measures, and trails and golf courses with pro shops remaining closed to public entry.
