Starting this Saturday, May 9, 2020, trailheads and trails will re-open with the following COVID-19 protocols in place –
Physical distancing must be maintained at all times, ensuring at least six feet of distance from others.
Face coverings or masks are required at trailheads, parking areas and destination points along the trails for those 2 years of age and older.
Do not gather in groups. Head outdoors with members of your household only.
When encountering others on trails, please step aside to keep physical distancing
Also starting May 9, the City’s dog park at Pantera Park will be open for use. Visitors to the dog park must observe all park rules and maintain physical distancing guidelines.
As a reminder, park open spaces and restrooms remain open but the following amenities will continue to be closed: playgrounds, sports courts, picnic shelters, and the skate park at Peterson Park.
While Los Angeles County residents are doing their part to follow the County’s “Safer at Home” Health Officer Order which has slowed the spread of COVID-19, residents are reminded that health directives remain in place, which include physical distancing, wearing cloth face coverings when not at home, frequent hand washing, self-isolation and self-quarantine if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or if you are showing symptoms.
