For those in need of disposable masks and gloves, the Mayor and City Council will be distributing a limited supply this Saturday, May 2 to shoppers starting at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in front of the Sprouts Farmers Market located at 239 S. Diamond Bar Boulevard, Diamond Bar.
A few things to keep in mind:
- This is a WALK-UP event. For everyone’s safety, DO NOT PARK CURBSIDE, items will not be delivered to vehicles.
- Shoppers are encouraged to pick up items AFTER leaving Sprouts or local eateries or businesses.
- Please practice social/physical distancing when picking up items and once you have received your masks and gloves, leave the area to ensure COVID-19 safety protocols are maintained.
- No identification is necessary and event is open to all.
If supplies remain after event, another distribution may be conducted at a later date.
Thank you to Steven Luo, CEO, Chinese Americans Donation Center, and Qing Jiang, president of QY International Inc. for the donation of the gloves and masks. Also thank you to former State Senator and former Diamond Bar Mayor Bob Huff for coordinating the donation.
