Safer at Home Order Extended

Safer at Home Order Extended Through May 15

To continue efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19, the County of Los Angeles County Public Health Department has extended the Safer At Home Order through May 15, 2020.

In addition to the previous mandates, the updated order also requires:

• All essential businesses to provide employees a cloth face covering to wear while performing duties that involve contact with others.

• Essential businesses must provide a plan detailing workplace social distancing and cleaning requirements.

• The public is required to wear a face covering when entering an essential business.

First issued by the county on March 19 and originally effective through April 19, the order prohibits all public and private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside a single household or living unit. Continued closure of beaches, trails and trail heads, and non-essential businesses.

Residents can still leave their homes to access or provide essential services, as long as they are practicing physical distancing and wearing a cloth face covering while out with others

In compliance with the updated order, all City facility closures will remain in effect through May 15, 2020 or until further notice.

A reminder that city staff remains available to provide services and answer questions by phone or email. For additional information, visit the City’s website at www.diamondbarca.gov/covid19
