https://lacovidprod.service-now.com/rrsLos Angeles County has opened several new drive-through sites, including one in nearby Pomona, to offer free COVID-19 testing to individuals with symptoms who are at high risk for complications.
High risk conditions include being 65 or older; and/or having underlying health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma. They also include people who are immunocompromised or who have been subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine period because they have been exposed to an individual with a confirmed case of COVID-19 and have more than 7 days of the two-week quarantine period remaining.
Testing is free and available to all qualifying Los Angeles County residents without a doctor’s approval; however, it requires an appointment which is obtained by completing a short online prescreening and registration process at coronavirus.lacity.org/testing.
The screening involves answering basic questions including name, date of birth, address, and whether they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. Those who meet the testing eligibility will be given an appointment and provided with a unique registration number that they will have to provide at the testing site.
If you are exhibiting severe symptoms, call your doctor. If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
