Due to continued crowding that does not adhere to mandatory physical distancing, all Diamond Bar trails are closed to the public effective Friday, March 27 and until further notice.
For now, parks will remain open with the exception of areas where COVID-19 can be easily transmitted by being in close contact with an infected individual or by touching contaminated surfaces. These areas include playgrounds, sports courts, picnic shelters, the skate park, and the dog park.
As a reminder, group gatherings of any size are prohibited by the Safer at Home Order for Control of COVID-19 issued by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, which went into effect March 21.
Individuals visiting Diamond Bar parks are reminded to adhere to physical distancing mandates and follow State and local public health guidelines, such as:
- Postpone your visit if you are sick or experiencing symptoms consistent with the COVID-19 virus.
- Maintain at least six feet of distance between yourself and other park patrons.
- Try not to touch surfaces that are handled by others such as handrails, benches, water fountains or door handles. If you do touch a shared surface, promptly wash your hands with water and soap or disinfect them using a hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol.
- Do not engage in activities which share equipment or involve contact with others such as team sports.
