Organics Recycling for Businesses

As of January 1, 2017, AB 1826, a law aimed at diverting organics from the landfill, became effective. All businesses that generate certain amounts of regular and organic waste are required to implement an organics recycling program. For a limited time and while supplies last, the City is providing free indoor organic recycling bins to Diamond Bar based restaurants looking to start an organics recycling program. Free Home Gardening Workshop

Individuals looking to create a healthier, more sustainable home garden are encouraged to attend a free workshop taking place Wednesday, March 4 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Diamond Bar Center. There is no cost to attend the workshop, however, regular and worm compost bins will be available for purchase at the end of the workshop for a reduced price of $40 and $65, respectively.
