Free Paper Shredding EventSaturday, September 23, 20239 a.m. - 1 p.m.South Coast Air Quality Management District - Parking Lot 21865 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765Need to safely and securely dispose of confidential documents such as tax returns, bank statements or medical records? Take advantage of this free paper shredding event hosted by the City. Things to note - The event ends at 1 p.m. or earlier if shredding trucks fill up to capacity before then.
- The event is only for Diamond Bar residents – proof of city residency will be required.
- This is a drive-through events, which means participants remain in their vehicle while event staff unload the documents and shred them on the spot.
Documents for shredding must not be three-ring binders, notebooks, or vinyl folders, but envelopes, staples, paper clips do not need to be removed. There is a limit of two banker-size boxes or two 13-gallon trash bag per household.

SR 57/60 Interchange Improvement Project UpdateThe project contractor is currently advancing through the initial phases of the project. These phases encompass various activities such as earth excavation, light pole removals, drilling, bridge demolition, re-striping, adjustments to traffic travel lanes, and temporary intersection closures, particularly in the vicinity of Golden Springs Drive and Gateway Center Drive. Additionally, night work closures on the freeway are also part of the ongoing operations. The current completion date for this project is set for July 2028. Grand Avenue and Golden Springs Drive Intersection Improvements UpdateThe construction of the precast concrete west tunnel is nearly finished, and work on the installation of fencing, landscaping amenities, and decorative elements along Golden Spring Drive is currently in progress. The Project's completion date has been revised to the end of October 2023.

Diamond Bar Teens Invited to Join Service OrganizationDB 4Youth members are getting ready to start volunteering after a relaxing summer break. Members will be meeting up this month on Tuesday, September 26 from 6-7 p.m. at the Diamond Bar Center. DB 4Youth is a program for Diamond Bar teen residents in grades 8th – 12th where they will gain leadership skills and earn volunteer hours.
