July in America stands for so much, from the nation’s independence to peak season for outdoor family gatherings. A healthy family and community life, particularly when it exemplifies our shared values and goals, is a big reason why Diamond Bar is consistently regarded as a one of the best cities to live in the region and beyond.
If you are looking for a fun way to spend time with family while enjoying the outdoors, consider taking part in the City’s popular Concerts in the Park series.
The fun takes place 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday at Summitridge Park from July 7 to August 4. In addition to featuring some excellent bands, the July 28 and August 4 events will include a family-friendly movie that will play immediately after each concert. Feel free to bring your own dinner from a local Diamond Bar restaurant as well as chairs or blankets for a more comfortable concert and movie watching experience. Additional event details are available at www.diamondbarca.gov/specialevents.
I am also proud to announce the release of the City’s new and improved version of its mobile app Diamond Bar Connected. The convenient app is available for download through the Apple and Google Play store, and allows residents and businesses to connect with City government and access a variety of important services and information. Residents can request services and report a number of concerns such as City code violations, abandoned shopping carts, illegal dumping, graffiti, traffic signal malfunctions, potholes, and facility maintenance issues. There is also a button to access interactive maps to look up street sweeping and trash and recyclable collection days, find city park and trail locations, and obtain information on capital improvement projects underway around town. With our combined efforts, we can ensure Diamond Bar remains one of the most beautiful and well-run cities for years to come.
