THE GREAT OUTDOORS
With summer fast approaching and the school year coming to an end, there are many exciting ways for residents to enjoy the natural beauty and recreation activities that our community offers. From hiking trails to outdoor dining, there is something for residents of all ages to enjoy!
The great outdoors provides many ways for families to stay healthy, exercise, and connect with nature. While you are out, take photos of wildlife and natural scenery, and submit your favorites to the City's Through My Lens Photo Contest by the August 31 deadline. Information is available on the City’s website at www.diamondbarca.gov/photocontest and all are encouraged to participate.
There are several fun activities that are making a comeback, including the City's summer concert series and dining at your favorite restaurant. Concerts will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 7 through August 4 at Summitridge Park.
Although no concessions will be offered, you can bring your own picnic dinner from home or takeout from your favorite restaurant. This summer you can also visit your favorite restaurant that may offer outdoor and indoor dining options, as well as takeout and delivery. For up-to-date information visit the City website, or refer to safety guidance issued by the State or County Public Health Departments.
I truly appreciate your efforts to care for Diamond Bar's beauty, and thank you for making the City aware of any graffiti or nuisances through the City’s website, online service request system at www.diamondbarca.gov/report , as well as the Diamond Bar Connected App by Civic Plus available for download on iPhone and Android.
