Active Diamond Bar
After months of staying safe at home, spring is the perfect transitional season to help you shake off those winter/quarantine blues, and move forward with a renewed sense of invigoration and focus. Fortunately, Diamond Bar is home to many beautiful trails, parks and activities. You can take a drive along Grand Avenue through the scenic Tres Hermanos Ranch and admire the rolling green hills and wildlife, you may even see a baby calf or two. Although this area is closed to foot traffic, there is so much to take in from the comfort of your vehicle. If you haven’t explored our trails or if it has been a while since you frequented them, I encourage you to take your family and friends out for a day of fun in the sun. To prepare for your hike, you may conveniently take a virtual tour of the trails online by visiting the City website. Our parks are simply some of the best, offering everything from playgrounds and basketball courts to athletic fields. There is no shortage of fun – I encourage you to take the time to explore Beautiful Diamond Bar.
The City also offers year-round recreational programming for all ages and interests, and currently classes are being offered in both online and in-person format. These classes include Family Fit Time, Kajukenbo Karate, Multi-Sport and small-group tennis lessons to name a few. Park & Recreation staff have been hard at work in an effort to expand programming that is in compliance with the latest local health guidelines. To view the full listing of recreation offerings and to register, visit www.diamondbar.com/recregister.
Fostering a Safe, Sustainable, and Healthy Community is one of the City’s Strategic Plan goals, I am proud that Diamond Bar offers so many different avenues for one to prioritize their health in a safe and sustainable way.
