Recycle Right, Recycle Often

Every time you choose to recycle, you are giving that item a second life to serve a new purpose and save natural resources. Now more than ever it’s important that items free from contamination make their way into your recycling bin.
Remember to recycle clean bottles, cans, paper and cardboard. Keep food and liquid out of your recycling bin. Do not recycle loose plastic bags or bag your recyclables, since those items will clog the machinery in the recycling facility. To learn more about recycling, visit Waste Management’s Recycle Right website: https://www.wm.com/us/en/inside-wm/recycle-right.

Bulky Item Pickups

The City’s two franchise waste haulers offer residents free residential bulky item collection program. Oversized or overweight household articles such as stoves, water heaters, rugs, washing machines, mattresses, as well as electronic waste are some of the frequently requested items. Residents are allowed up to four (4) free pick-ups annually.

The bulky item collection service is available to single family homes and multifamily residential units. To ensure the best service, pick-ups must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance or on the regular collection day.
Residents may contact Waste Management at (909) 599-1274, or Valley Vista Services at (800) 442-6454 at least two days in advance to schedule a pick up.
