[ARCHIVED] Drop-In Pickleball

Senior Playing Pickleball

Adults age 50 and older looking to take up a fun sport that is known to make players healthier and happier are invited to try out the City’s new Pickleball Drop-In Program.

The popular hybrid sport of tennis, badminton and ping-pong is now available as a free, drop-in activity every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon at the for Maple Hill Park tennis courts. Registration is not required.

Pickleball is played with a solid paddle made of wood or composite materials and a lightweight perforated ball, similar to a whiffle ball. Equipment is available for use, but players may bring their own if they prefer.

Maple Hill Park is located at 1309 S. Maple Hill Road. For more information, contact the City’s Parks and Recreation Department at 909.839.7070.
