Mulch Giveaway and Free Paper Shredding on Dec. 17
A self-serve mulch area and on-site mobile paper shredding unit will be available to Diamond Bar residents on Saturday, December 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until mulch supply runs out and shredding truck reaches capacity.
Organized by the City in collaboration with Waste Management, both these free services are open only to residents, and require proof of a Diamond Bar address such a California ID, utility bill, or bank statement.
Mulch Giveaway
- The mulch area is self-serve which means individuals must bring their own shovels and containers, and come prepared to collect their own mulch and load it onto their vehicle. There is a limit of 80 gallons per household.
Paper shredding
- Residents may bring up to two banker boxes, or two 13-gallon trash bags, full of sensitive or confidential documents and have them shredded on site while they wait. Documents must not be in binders or sheet protectors, or fastened with rubber bands or binder clips. Staples and paperclips are OK.
The AQMD parking lot is located at 21865 Copley Drive. Registration is not required, and the event will be held, rain or shine.
