Projects Continue at Key City Intersection
Construction continues at the intersection of Grand Avenue/Golden Springs Drive where two projects are underway.
Grand Avenue/Golden Springs Drive Intersection Improvements
One of the projects is focused on bringing improvements to the intersection to reduce traffic congestion, enhance traffic flow, and create a safer, more accessible, and more attractive thoroughfare for pedestrians and bicyclists. Work on this project includes the construction of additional lanes, widening of sidewalks, and installation of signalized pedestrian crossing safety enhancements, new street lighting, and landscaping.
Diamond Bar Golf Course Improvements
The other project involves the realignment and reconfiguration of several of course’s holes west and east of Grand Avenue, modifications to the drainage system, reconfiguration of the existing concrete cart paths, replacement of an existing maintenance facility, relocation of the protective netting and practice range.
Both projects are needed to accommodate the next phase of the SR-57/SR-60 Interchange Improvement Project. This multiphase, multimillion-dollar project that has been in the making for more than a decade is aimed at improving freeway operations and safety and addressing congestion within the two-mile long area where the SR-57 and SR-60 freeways merge.
The improvements to the intersection and the golf course are expected to be completed in early 2023. For more information on all three projects, visit www.sgvcog.org/5760project-dbgc.
