County Hosting Care Kit Drive to Benefit Homeless

County Seeks Donations of Personal Care Items

The Volunteer Services Division of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services is conducting a collection drive to obtain clothing accessories and personal care items for homeless individuals and families.

The drive, which kicked off in July and continues through September 30, accepts items that include new socks, shoes, hats and visors, hand sanitizer, toilet paper and personal care items for women. Donation drop-offs can be arranged by emailing DPSSVolunteers@dpss.lacounty.gov. As an alternative, donations to the drive may also be made online through AmazonSmile by selecting the Toy Loan Advisory Board wish list.

For more information on the County’s 2019 Care Kit Drive or to become a volunteer, contact Volunteer Coordinator Eryn Aquino at (213) 744-4348.
