If you own a digital camera and like taking photos, the City encourages you to participate in its annual community photo contest. The deadline for entries is Monday, October 14.
Now in its 11th year, Diamond Bar Through My Lens aims to showcase the city’s scenic charm, raise community spirit, and celebrate the photography talent of residents. It is co-sponsored by the City and the Diamond Bar Community Foundation.
Contest categories are people, pets, places, nature, and digitally-altered, and there are two age divisions – youth (17 and younger) and adult (18 and older). The photograph subject must be within Diamond Bar city limits.
The contest is free to enter, open to Diamond Bar residents of all ages, and up to two entries per individual are allowed.
Entries will be separated by age divisions with the winning photographs selected in December. Winners from each division will receive a monetary prize courtesy of the Diamond Bar Community Foundation and their photos will be published in the City’s 2013-2021 Calendar & Services Guide and featured on the City website.
Complete contest rules, digital entry requirements, and the official entry form can be found online. Questions may be directed to the City’s Public Information Division at 909-839-7057 or email.
