The City is looking for several dozen volunteers willing to roll up their sleeves and help beautify several community parks and trails as part its inaugural Diamond Bar Day of Service set for Saturday, May 18.
Day of Service opens with check-in at 8:30 a.m. at Sycamore Canyon Park where volunteers will each receive a free T-shirt and wristband for access to a post-cleanup lunch, as well as project assignments and safety instructions. From there, volunteers and City staff will make their way to their preselected sites where activities such as painting, weeding, cleaning, planting, and trash and debris pickup will take place.
Cleanup activities will conclude at 11 a.m., and volunteers will make their way back to park for a free lunch and a Volunteer Fair that will feature various booths staffed by nonprofit organizations with information about their volunteer opportunities.
Participation in Day of Service is open to ages 14 and older, and requires pre-registration by April 15 to allow time for T-shirts to be ordered.
Sycamore Canyon Park is located at 22930 Golden Springs Drive.
