Aspiring and existing small business owners looking to establish, improve or expand their online presence are encouraged to attend a free workshop scheduled for Wednesday, October 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Diamond Bar Center, located at 1600 Grand Avenue.
Offered as part of the City’s partnership with SCORE, this workshop will provide strategies and tips on how to attract and retain customers and build an online presence at little or no cost. Topics covered include understanding marketing needs, securing competitive and target products, and choosing the best advertising formats and distribution channels, and more.
SCORE is a national non-profit organization composed of volunteer professionals who offer education and guidance to small business owners and entrepreneurs through workshops and one-on-one mentoring sessions. The presenter of this "How to Survive Online" workshop is Edmond Wu, a serial entrepreneur who has started businesses in the food, ecommerce, web development, consulting and real estate industries. He co-founded the first Quickly (Taiwanese tea) franchise in the United States and has started a variety of businesses on the internet realm.
Admission into this workshop is free, but pre-registration is required as seats are limited. Registration and check-in will be processed starting at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Go online for more information or to reserve a seat.
