On Saturday, October 27, families (pets included) are invited to wear their Halloween finery and head over to Pantera Park for the City’s first Halloween Party that combines elements of Barktober Fest and Fall Fun Festival.
Set to run from 9 a.m. to noon, the event will feature a variety of frightfully fun activities that include game and activity stations, photo opportunity areas, airbrush tattoos, balloon animals, a dog costume parade and contest, and trick-or-treating with pet service and product vendors.
The dog costume contest has three categories and staggered parade and judging times, with Best Dog & Owner Costume Combo taking at place at 10 a.m., followed by Best Large Dog Costume (25 pounds and heavier) at 11 a.m., and Best Small Dog Costume (lighter than 25 pounds) at noon. Prizes will be awarded to the winner in each category.
Event admission is free and open to the public, and costumes are encouraged but not required. Additional information about the event and dog rules can be found online or by calling the City’s Parks and Recreation Department at (909) 839-7070.
