From clothes that no longer fit to electronics that have been relegated to the junk drawer, unused items take up a lot of space in mostly every household.
If you are looking to declutter your home of unwanted items, consider using Freecycle. This free online nonprofit network makes it easy for individuals to give (and get) free items, thereby helping reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfills.
Although this nonprofit has a nationwide reach, membership is locally-based. The Diamond Bar Freecycle Group currently has more than 700 members who are able to post items offered or wanted. Some of the most common posts are for items such as electronics, building materials, clothes, and books. Items you offer are not expected to be in perfect condition as long as you accurately describe their condition when you offer them.
