Update June 18, 2019 – REPLACEMENT BALLOTS ISSUED FOR DISTRICT 39 AND PUBLIC HEARING RESCHEDULED TO AUGUST 6, 2019
Some of the ballots mailed to property owners on May 31 in the Landscape Assessment District No. 39-2019 were discovered to contain an error. The ballots for two of the assessment zones (A and C) were misprinted and the proposed assessments were listed incorrectly.
To address this error, replacement ballots will be mailed this week to the affected property owners listing the correct assessment amount. Since the original ballot listed the incorrect assessment amount, it will not be counted. And for that reason, these property owners are being asked to vote again and return the replacement ballot.
The City Council has also rescheduled the date for the public hearing as well as the date for returning the ballots to Tuesday, August 6. Ballots may be returned any time prior to the close of the public input portion of the hearing.
Property owners in zone B were not affected and will not receive replacement ballots. But may take advantage of the extended deadline and return their ballots by August 6.
