What is the History Project?
The City is seeking the donation or loan of historical items for archive and display, and current or past residents to video document their Diamond Bar story.
What to donate?
Suggested items include ranch-era tools and photos, Transamerica Corporation documents dated from the 1950s to the 1980s, early photos of The Country, new tract home brochures, early golf course photos or memorabilia, old area maps, fossils, news items about early incorporation attempts, as well as 1989 incorporation, campaign literature, early Windmill magazines, or any other items of photos that may be of historical significance.
No items to donate? Videotape your story.
What was Diamond Bar like when you first moved into town? Share your favorite story or memory via video, voice recording, or in writing.
Can't come to us? We'll come to you.
Drop off donations at City Hall to the attention of the Public Information Division. Videotaping or voice recordings may take place at City Hall or the Diamond Bar Center, or is you are local, we'll gladly make arrangements to come to you.
Note: No compensation may be made for any donated items or stories.
