Volunteer Recognition

Do you know someone in Diamond Bar who deserves to be recognized for their good deeds or community service? Help us identify the ‘unsung heroes’ and ‘role models’ whose invaluable work and dedication on behalf of our community exemplifies the best of Diamond Bar. Nominate them for one or both of these awards.

Outstanding Volunteer

Organized in conjunction with the City's annual Birthday Party celebrated every April, this program honors deserving adults and youth with a special award from the City Council and a mention in the City's monthly newsletter. For more information, contact the City's Community Services Department at 909-839-7073.

Community Hero

Every September, the City partners up with the Los Angeles (LA) County Fair Association to recognize up to three Diamond Bar residents as part of the festivities of Diamond Bar Day at the Fair. The chosen nominees obtain:

  • Free valet parking and admission to the Fair
  • Special reception featuring complementary beverages and hors d’oeuvres
  • Chance to parade along the Fairplex’s main thoroughfare in special vehicles or L.A. County Fair floats
  • Special commendations from the Diamond Bar City Council, local legislative members, and L.A. County Fair Association during the Community Hero Presentation

Nominees may be of any age and can include your family members, neighbors, teachers, students, work colleagues, or business owners. For more information, contact the L.A. County Fair Association at 909-865-4075.
