The City provides a variety of athletic opportunities for the youth of Diamond Bar. These athletic programs are designed to build self-esteem and teach the basic fundamentals of the sport in a safe and positive environment. Using the model of Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM), children have the opportunity to make friends, develop sportsmanship, learn how to compete and cooperate, cultivate leadership skills, be physically fit, and develop a positive self-concept in an enjoyable recreation environment.
Code of Ethics
To support this high level of positive sportsmanship, the Diamond Bar City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission has approved a City-wide Parent’s Code of Ethics which is signed by all parents prior to children participating in the program. This form serves as a reminder that the programs are built around the needs and desires of a developing child.

Volunteer coaches are essential to the City’s youth sports program. If you can spare a few hours a month and share the City’s enthusiasm for creating opportunities where youth can learn and practice sports in a fun, positive and friendly learning environment, consider becoming a volunteer coach. Must be at least 18 years of age (or 16 with parent permission). Experience is helpful but not required. To be considered for a coaching position with the City's youth sports program, complete the Volunteer Coach application and return it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
