The City’s response to homelessness is primarily focused on the safety of individuals who live, work, or attend school in Diamond Bar. It is based on the main principles of: (1) acknowledgment that homelessness is a national concern, (2) recognition that homelessness cannot be solved by a single entity; rather, it requires involvement and collaboration among various government, private, nonprofit, service, and faith-based entities, and (3) understanding that not having a home is not a crime.
