The Parks and Recreation Department programs activities and events help to strengthen the community's fabric, health and well-being, economic base, and security. Diamond Bar residents have long valued neighborhood, community and regional parks, and open natural spaces where they can relax, walk, meditate, play, enjoy family time, and seek renewal.

The City operates and maintains nine parks, recreational trails, and recreation facilities throughout the city.
Shaped by more than two years worth of public review and input, this Parks and Recreation Master Plan is now in operation.
The Parks and Recreation Department oversees contract classes and excursions, programs for seniors, youth and adults, special events as well as facility rentals.
