The Neighborhood Improvement Division enforces municipal codes and ordinances created to maintain the welfare of residents and business owners and community aesthetics.
Code Violations
The City's Neighborhood Improvement Officers work both proactively and in response to complaints filed by concerned residents, business operators or property owners. Once a City Code violation is verified, a Courtesy Notice is issued requesting the property owner resolve the violation within a designated time frame. Each violation of the Diamond Bar Municipal Code carries a fine of $100 or more. If the violation is not resolved through the issuance of informal or formal notices, the case may be referred to the Los Angeles County District Attorney for resolution.
