Business License

All individuals and businesses doing work within city limits, whether or not they have a physical structure in the city, are required to have a business license. This includes contractors, internet and home-based businesses. Business license holders must display their license in public view at all times. 

Business License Application

Business license applications may be completed online, and will be processed electronically. Alternatively, licenses may be applied for in-person at City Hall during regular business hours.

Renewals

Annual license renewals, including payment, may be completed online.

Dental Offices
 
Dental offices must submit the One-Time Compliance Report for Dental Discharges Form with the renewal application, if not submitted already.

National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)
 
 Please verify if your business is required to enroll with the NPDES permit program.  Businesses that fall within this category include, but are not limited to: 

  • Manufacturing, production, or transportation
  • Wholesale trade of used auto parts, scrap and waste, or petroleum
  • Electric services, sewerage services, or refuse systems

To review the comprehensive list of businesses, please refer to the Supplemental NPDES/SB 205 Form. Businesses that fall under SB 205, shall submit this form with the renewal application.

Payment

Payments can be made by check or online. Please note that a 2.5% processing fee will be applied to all credit/debit card payments. Once an application is submitted, a staff member will follow up with you on the preferred method of payment and provide instructions.

Exemptions

Non-profits and certain businesses are exempt from paying fees under the Constitution of the United States or under the Constitution or laws of the State of California but must still register with the City.
