(Diamond Bar, CA, October 18, 2017) – As part of its General Plan Update, the City of Diamond Bar has launched an online survey to obtain input from community members on the three Land Use Alternatives that represent different approaches to accommodating future growth and development in town.
This online survey is available until November 12, and can be accessed via the project website at www.diamondbarGP.com or through the following direct links:
If you prefer to take the paper version of the survey, click here to open a PDF document. Once completed, you can return to City Hall by emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org or dropping off/mailing to:21810 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765.
This survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and automatically detects and optimizes for any Internet-connected device - cell phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
The development of Land Use Alternatives is an important and required step in the Update process. These Alternatives represent areas in town that are suitably-sized and located to achieve a wide range of goals that include maintaining and enhancing residential neighborhoods, creating a Town Center, and improving recreation facilities.
State law mandates that all Counties and Cities develop, adopt and periodically update their General Plans as a way to plan for important community issues such as new growth, housing needs, economic development, and environmental protection in a long-range context of 20 years and beyond. The current Diamond Bar General Plan was adopted in 1995; this is the first comprehensive Update the Plan undergoes.
