The Finance Department’s primary responsibilities are to safeguard the City's assets and assure financial compliance. This includes preparing the budget reports, administering financial accounting of grants and contracts, processing payroll and accounts payable and maintaining the City’s general accounting system. The Department also monitors revenues and expenditures based on the City’s annual operating budget and, including readjustments if revenues and expenditures vary from projected figures.
